Grand Canyon College Hockey Classic Returns to Prescott Valley

A three‑day showcase highlights rivalries, community spirit, and local talent

The third edition of the Grand Canyon College Hockey Classic is set to light up Prescott Valley this November, bringing together some of the state's most competitive ACHA Division I programs.

Rivalries Reignite on the Ice

Fans can mark their calendars for two evenings of high‑stakes play: on November 21 the classic will pit Grand Canyon University against the University of Arizona, and a week later, on November 28, Grand Canyon University will face Arizona State University.

Games will be held at the Findlay Toyota Center, where doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the puck drops at 7:35 p.m. Tickets can be secured at the arena box office from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or purchased online at FindlayToyotaCenter.com.

Admission is priced at $26 for general fans, but the event offers a Buy‑One‑Get‑One Free deal for groups and students, plus a special discount for university affiliates. Children in kindergarten through eighth grade who reside in Yavapai County receive complimentary entry, complete with a free hot dog and soda.

Community Spirit and Local Flair

Grand Canyon University head coach Danny Roy expressed excitement about the tournament’s growing reputation, noting that the past two editions have drawn enthusiastic crowds and reinforced the region’s hockey culture.

Adding a local flavor, Pastor Ronnie James of Flock Church will deliver the National Anthem on his electric guitar, blending community spirit with the sport.

Organizers say the classic is more than a series of matches; it is a celebration of Prescott Valley’s emerging hockey community, aiming to attract new fans and nurture local talent.
