Rustlers poised for another playoff push
The Great Falls CMR Rustlers closed the 2025 campaign with a 6‑5 record and earned a playoff berth for the first time since 2014, a milestone that has set an optimistic tone for the upcoming season.
Head coach AJ Wilson, now in his third year at the helm, returns with a record 27 seniors — the largest class of his tenure — and emphasizes that the group’s chemistry is already humming.
The offensive line stands out as a particular strength; three seasoned linemen are back, and senior defensive end Ryan Gilbertson described the unit as “scary” given its size and readiness.
Quarterback battle adds intrigue
For the first time since 2020 a new face will take the snaps, as Beckett Crouch and Kasey Kegel compete for the starting role, while the legacy of the Taylor family — Cole and Caleb — still looms large in the program.
Landon Bahnmiller, a senior tight end, has voiced confidence that the team’s cohesion will translate into a deep run in 2026, echoing the sentiment of many teammates.
The season will open on August 28 at Helena Capital, a venue that promises an early test for the new‑look backfield.
