Former Washington Huskies guard Great Osobor touched down in Seattle this spring, marking his first return to the Pacific Northwest since completing a season abroad.
A Journey Across Continents
During his college tenure, Osobor earned Mountain West Conference Player of the Year honors at Utah State and helped the Huskies clinch a 2024‑25 campaign that saw him average double‑digit points under head coach Danny Sprinkle, who had followed him from Montana State to Utah State and then to Washington.
After going undrafted, Osobor signed a professional contract with Science City Jena in Germany, where he posted 17.8 points per game before a November knee injury ended his campaign; the setback also coincided with a reported $2 million NIL deal that highlighted his marketability.
The injury forced a period of rehabilitation, during which Osobor visited the Huskies' men's basketball facilities in April 2026, touring the locker rooms and practice courts as a reminder of his roots.
Though the Houston Rockets gave him a look in the NBA draft, no contract materialized, leaving his professional future uncertain, but the former standout remains hopeful about contributing to the program that shaped him.
