Five Greater Lansing girls soccer teams have earned spots in the Michigan High School Athletic Association regional playoffs after capturing district championships.
The regional pairings, announced this week, span three divisions — Division 2, Division 3 and Division 4 — and will be played at a handful of venues across the area.
Regional Matchups by Division
Division 2 matches are scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, at Waterford Mott and Ypsilanti Lincoln, while Division 3 action will take place at Ann Arbor Huron on the same day.
Division 4 games will be contested at Royal Oak Shrine Catholic and Cadillac, also on June 2.
The championship finals for each division are slated for Thursday, June 4, bringing the regional tournament to its climax.
In Division 2, the field includes Waterford Kettering, St. Clair, Bloomfield Hills Marian and DeWitt. Division 3 will feature Grosse Ile, Eaton Rapids, Ann Arbor Greenhills and Detroit Country Day. Division 4 boasts a diverse slate that ranges from Royal Oak Shrine Catholic and Bath to Clarkston Everest Collegiate, Memphis, Midland Calvary Baptist, Harbor Springs, Shelby and Ovid‑Elsie.
Kickoff times will vary by venue, but all games are set to begin in the afternoon, giving teams ample preparation time before the finals on June 4.
Local schools and families are expected to turn out in force, underscoring the growing popularity of girls soccer in the Greater Lansing region.
