A Multi‑Year Commitment Reflects Rising Momentum
Purdue’s baseball program announced that head coach Gregg Goff has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the helm through the 2029 season, a move that underscores the university’s confidence in his leadership after a standout year.
The agreement includes a base salary of $287,000 per year, with additional incentives tied to conference finishes and deep runs in the NCAA tournament. Goff earned $280,000 for the 2025‑26 campaign and captured an $8,400 bonus after the Boilermakers placed fifth in the Big Ten.
Goff’s ascent to the top job began in 2019 when he succeeded Mark Wasikowski, a transition that followed stints as head coach at Alabama, Louisiana Tech, Campbell and Montevallo. Over his seven seasons at Purdue, he has compiled a career record of 177‑150.
The Boilermakers closed the most recent season with a 37‑20 overall record, marking their third consecutive 30‑win campaign. They posted an 11‑2 mark in Big Ten weekend series, including a six‑game winning streak, and secured victories over Baylor and Oregon State in non‑conference play before falling to top‑seeded UCLA in the conference tournament quarterfinals.
Although Purdue missed the 64‑team NCAA Tournament field and finished sixth in the Big Ten, the consistent winning culture and the promise of future bonuses position the team for continued growth under Goff’s guidance.
