Griffins unveil 2026‑27 home slate
The Grand Rapids Griffins will open their 2026‑27 American Hockey League campaign on October 9 at Van Andel Arena, kicking off a schedule that blends tradition with new community initiatives.
This season marks the franchise’s 26th year in the AHL and its 31st overall, a milestone that fans have celebrated with a series of special events tied to the upcoming schedule.
Among the highlighted dates are a New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31, a matchup on November 27, and a February 6 showdown that will serve as the centerpiece for the 2027 Great Skate Winterfest, a fundraiser supporting the Griffins Youth Foundation.
The January 16 game will precede the Winterfest festivities, offering fans a chance to enjoy the contest before diving into the holiday-themed activities that benefit local youth hockey programs.
Additional home games are slated for March 20, with opponents to be announced later this summer when the full AHL schedule is released. Single‑game tickets will go on sale through griffinshockey.com/tickets at that time, while season tickets and group outings can be secured by calling (616) 774‑4585 or visiting the same site.
The team also announced a partnership with Huntington Bank, which will feature prominently in upcoming promotions and community outreach efforts throughout the season.
