Father McGivney High School’s soccer squad captured the Class 1A Breese Central Regional title on Tuesday, routing Mater Dei 7‑0 and securing a spot in the Columbia Sectional semifinals.

The victory was anchored by Layla Tobin, who delivered a hat trick and an assist, finishing the game with seven points and raising her season goal total to 20.

Supporting the offense, Beck contributed a goal and three assists, while Sofia Rossetto, Emerson Isringhausen and Bristol Ellis each added a goal and a helper, spreading the scoring across the lineup.

In goal, Peyton Ellis made two saves in the first 45 minutes before handing off to Addison Ronk, who faced no shots over the final 20 minutes, preserving the clean sheet.

With the win, the Griffins improve to 19‑2‑3 and will now meet the sectional semifinal opponent, while Mater Dei conclude their season at 8‑12‑1.
