The Gustavus Adolphus College men's basketball program has added a distinguished accolade to a season that already delivered on the court.
A Season to Remember
Compiling a 27‑3 record, the No. 10 nationally ranked Gusties captured the MIAC Regular Season and Playoff titles and marched to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, marking the deepest run since 2003.
Academic Excellence Recognized
The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced that the program has been selected for the 2025‑26 Team Academic Excellence Award, honoring teams that posted a collective GPA of at least 3.0 during the 2025‑26 academic year.
In addition, five student‑athletes earned placement on the NABC Honors Court, a distinction reserved for juniors, seniors and graduate players who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The honorees — Carson Koch, Connor Beauchamp, Eli Wolff, Isaac Dearborn and Jake Schmitt — exemplify the blend of athletic commitment and scholarly achievement that the college strives to promote.
