Among the participants, Negaunee fourth‑grader Kendall Rajala reflected on her team's mixed results, noting that each win and loss fueled their determination to improve and aim higher in future contests.
Rilyn Brantcheau, another Negaunee fourth‑grader, offered a simple piece of wisdom to fellow competitors: approach the court with humility and keep expectations realistic to avoid disappointment.
Beyond the scores, the event emphasized fun, friendship, and community spirit, with organizers hoping the positive atmosphere will inspire even greater participation in the years ahead.
