Hailey Buckman, a recent graduate of Logan‑Rogersville High School, has been named the Springfield Daily Citizen Female Athlete of the Year, a distinction that caps a remarkable high school sports career.
On the basketball court she amassed 2,156 points, guiding her team to a 70‑19 record and earning a senior average of 21 points, 8.1 rebounds and two assists per game.
Her impact extended to volleyball, where she was a two‑time all‑state middle blocker and helped the squad reach the state final after her junior year.
Beyond athletics, Buckman graduated summa cum laude, was an active member of the National Honor Society, and received a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of her achievements.
