Quarterback Samantha Heyman was the centerpiece of the victory, finishing 23 of 31 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns in what she described as her final flag football appearance.
Heyman took the opportunity to thank her teammates and coach Mike Lupa, emphasizing the collective effort that made the historic run possible.
The game featured several turning points, including a 3‑yard rushing touchdown by Zoe Franks and a 9‑yard reception that helped extend the lead.
Emma Wilck also played a pivotal defensive role, breaking up a pass in the end zone to force a turnover on downs at a crucial moment.
With just over a minute remaining, Heyman scrambled and found Drew Kesselman for a 22‑yard touchdown that sealed the win.
