Who makes the cut?
Eligibility is divided into three distinct tracks: players who have been retired for at least three but no more than ten years, veterans who have been out of the game for more than a decade, and builders whose influence on the sport spans at least ten years and who are at least 50 years old. Each category carries its own set of performance benchmarks and contribution standards.
Among the nominees are 61 players, 127 veterans and 32 builders, with the player pool featuring 16 first‑year candidates and 13 returning finalists from the previous cycle. The veteran list adds 20 newcomers while four former candidates are being reconsidered after an appeal process.

The screening committees will pare down the massive field before the final ballot is set, after which a maximum of six new members will be elected. The composition of that class is capped at three players, two veterans and one builder, ensuring a balanced representation across the sport’s history.
