A Legacy on the Gridiron
Canton’s Hall of Fame Stadium will serve as the backdrop for three high school football games on September 4 and 5, as part of the National High School Football Council Classic, an event that underscores the council’s commitment to character development through the sport.
The six participating teams each carry the legacy of a Pro Football Hall of Fame alumnus: Marion Motley of Canton McKinley will face Orlando Pace’s Sandusky on Friday night, while Vince Lombardi’s St. Francis Preparatory takes on Larry Czonka’s Stow on Saturday afternoon, and Dan Dierdorf’s GlenOak meets Tom Mack’s Cleveland Heights later that evening.
Ticket options include presale prices of $12 for adults and $5 for students, with gate prices set at $15; a single Saturday ticket grants admission to both games, offering fans a convenient way to experience the full slate of competition.
Guided by Hall of Famers Anthony Munoz and Bill Polian, the National High School Football Council uses this showcase to reinforce the values of character and integrity that it teaches through football, inspiring the next generation of players.
