The Hamilton Hammers have officially rolled out their inaugural jerseys, signaling the start of a fresh chapter in the franchise’s history.
The team, now based in Hamilton after relocating from Bridgeport, Connecticut, is officially affiliated with the New York Islanders, a partnership that is reflected in the design of the new sweaters.
Each jersey showcases a primary logo that features the team name rendered over two crossed sledgehammers whose ends are shaped like hockey pucks, a visual nod to the sport’s intensity.
The blue version is dominated by broad orange stripes flanked by narrower white stripes, with white sleeve cuffs and an orange collar, while the white counterpart mirrors the pattern using blue on the wider bands and orange on the slimmer ones, complemented by a blue collar.
Both designs employ block lettering for player names and numbers, a style heavily inspired by the Islanders’ own aesthetic, and the blue jerseys display white numerals outlined in orange, whereas the white jerseys feature blue numerals edged in orange.
Fans can pre‑order the sweaters through the Hammers’ online store, with availability confirmed ahead of the team’s first home game.

The Hammers will open their season at TD Coliseum on Friday, October 9, marking the first of what is expected to be a full slate of matches in the upcoming AHL campaign. While the league has yet to publish a detailed schedule for the 2026‑27 season, the date of the home debut has been locked in.
