A Season of Redemption
After missing the World Series by a single victory last season, the players are driven to avoid a repeat, bringing a blend of experience and youthful energy to the diamond.
Boone Treadway and Bobby Frazier, the only two players who were part of the 2023 roster, have embraced leadership roles, sharing the lessons learned from the near‑miss and pushing the team toward its championship aspirations.
Josiah Infante has been a standout at the plate, launching three home runs in four state games and consistently delivering clutch hits that underscore the team’s emphasis on fundamentals.
Manager Tim Nichtin, who has guided the program since 1983, stresses unity and a shared passion for competition, fostering a culture where every player feels invested in the collective goal.
Regionals on the Horizon
The team’s first test will be the Great Lakes Regional Tournament, where they open against Michigan on Saturday; the game will be streamed on ESPN+, and a successful run could secure a berth in the Williamsport, Pennsylvania, showcase event.
Having made five prior appearances at the World Series, most recently in 2021, the squad is no stranger to the national stage, and the current cohort hopes to capitalize on that experience to push through regionals and beyond.
