Marissa Falconer found the back of the net in the 34th minute, the only goal of the match, after a crisp pass from teammate Ellee Hill that split the Jefferson City defense and left the goalkeeper stranded.

Between the goal and the final whistle, Lexi Anders cemented her season-long dominance between the posts, recording her ninth shutout of the year. Several point‑blank saves in the closing stages preserved the narrow lead and kept the Pirates' hopes alive.
