Harvard Crimson Field Hockey Unveils 2026 Schedule
Harvard University’s field hockey program has released its 2026 slate, a 17‑game campaign that features eleven contests on its home turf at Berylson Field in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The announcement comes after a breakthrough 2025 season that culminated in an Ivy League championship and a run to the NCAA Tournament semifinals.
The season opens with a four‑game home stand that begins on Friday, September 4, 2026, when the Crimson host UMass Lowell. Two days later, on Sunday, September 6, Harvard will welcome UConn, a team it defeated twice during the previous year, underscoring the program’s early momentum.
Boston College arrives on Sunday, September 13, marking the first meeting between the two schools since 2019. The matchup adds a new regional rivalry to the schedule and promises a competitive contest on home soil.
Harvard’s Ivy League slate includes traditional rivals Dartmouth, Princeton, Penn, Cornell, Brown, and Yale, each scheduled for conference play throughout the fall. The Ivy League Tournament is set for November 6‑8, 2026, positioning the Crimson for a strong finish to the regular season.
Beyond league competition, the Crimson will test itself against non‑conference opponents such as Wake Forest, Syracuse, and Monmouth, providing diverse challenges that the coaching staff says will sharpen the team’s depth before the NCAA Tournament.
The NCAA Tournament is slated to begin on Friday, November 13, 2026. Building on the previous year’s semifinal appearance, the program aims to extend its postseason run and contend for a national title.
