Harvard University’s men’s basketball program has released its 2026‑27 slate, a blend of home‑court showcases and road challenges that span the Ivy League and beyond.
Key Non‑Conference Matchups
The season opens with an exhibition game against UMass on October 23, followed by a home contest versus MIT on November 2, and then a series of road trips that will take the Crimson to face UChicago, Northeastern, George Washington and American University.
Harvard will also host a quartet of in‑state rivals, including a much‑anticipated meeting with Boston University, which the team leads 8‑1 over the past nine meetings, as well as games against Boston College, Holy Cross and the University of Massachusetts.
Ivy League Outlook
Ivy League play kicks off in January with home games against Columbia, Yale and Brown, while the latter part of the conference schedule features road contests at Cornell, Penn and Princeton, setting the stage for a potential run in the Philadelphia tournament in March.
Returning four of the five starters from last season, including All‑Ivy selections Robert Hinton and Thomas Batties II, who will serve as co‑captains, gives the team continuity and a blend of experience and fresh talent.
Coach Kyle Neptune and his staff have emphasized the importance of building momentum early, especially as the Crimson aims to improve its series record against American University and to extend its winning streak against New Hampshire.
