Hayden Seifert, a senior at Laurel High School in Pennsylvania, has officially committed to continue her athletic career at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she will join the Division III women's hockey program.
A Multisport Trailblazer
Seifert's relationship with sport began long before she laced up a hockey stick. She has been playing softball since the age of five, developing a reputation as a reliable pitcher and a fierce competitor for the Laurel High School varsity team.
Her dedication on the diamond helped the team capture multiple league championships, and coaches have praised her work ethic, leadership and ability to perform under pressure.
While hockey has been her secondary passion, Seifert decided to explore the collegiate rink for the first time this fall. The move marks a new chapter for an athlete who has always balanced two demanding sports.
The commitment to Wisconsin-Stevens Point is more than a personal milestone; it reflects a broader narrative of perseverance and versatility that resonates with teammates, teachers and the local community.
Notably, Seifert will become the first member of her family to attend college, adding an extra layer of significance to her academic and athletic ambitions.
