Heisman‑filled afternoon at Gridiron Grille
The Alachua County Sports & Events Center will transform into a playground for football fans on August 23, as three of the university’s most celebrated quarterbacks — Tim Tebow, Danny Wuerffel and Steve Spurrier — join forces for a charity showcase at Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille in Celebration Pointe.
Attendees will have the rare chance to catch a touchdown pass from Tebow or Wuerffel, feel the snap of a handoff from Spurrier, and receive an autographed football, a personal photo and a professionally shot video keepsake to commemorate the day.
Supporting Foster Youth
The event is part of the Florida Legends Card Show, a weekend gathering for sports and trading‑card enthusiasts that runs from August 22 to 23, drawing collectors and families alike. Other former Florida athletes, such as Marreese Speights and Mike Zunino, will also be on hand for autograph sessions, further enriching the community experience.
All proceeds from the day will benefit the Isaiah 117 House, a nonprofit that provides temporary housing and support for Alachua County children awaiting foster placement, reinforcing the community’s commitment to vulnerable youth.
