High Point University’s baseball program has reached a historic milestone, earning the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Big South Baseball Championship for the first time in school history.
The Panthers finished the regular season with a 17‑7 record, capturing the conference’s regular‑season championship and securing the top seed heading into the double‑elimination tournament.
The championship will unfold from May 20 through May 23 at HomeTrust Park in Asheville, North Carolina, the home ballpark of the Asheville Tourists, and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Tournament Format and Broadcast Coverage
Six of the conference’s strongest teams will compete in a double‑elimination bracket, with each game available to viewers on the ESPN+ platform.
Beyond the excitement of the games, the championship carries an automatic berth into the NCAA Baseball Championship, giving the Big South champion a direct path to the national stage.
