The Big South Conference unveiled its 2026 baseball all-conference awards on Tuesday afternoon, recognizing a standout performance by High Point University.
Coach Hammond’s Milestone
Joey Hammond, who guided the Panthers to a 36-18 overall record and a perfect 17-7 mark in league play, was selected as the Big South Coach of the Year.
A Decade of Excellence
Ten players from High Point earned spots on the all-conference team, a testament to the program’s depth and consistency.
Seojun Oh led the offense with a .361 average, adding 14 doubles, 17 home runs and 56 RBIs, while also being honored as both Player and Newcomer of the Year.
Ty Brachbill emerged as the program’s single-season wins leader in Division I history, finishing 11-2 on the mound.
Jake McCarter was celebrated as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, complementing his .269 batting line with 15 home runs and 51 RBIs.

The Panthers captured their first Big South regular-season title and secured the No. 1 seed for the upcoming tournament.
High Point will open play on Thursday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. at HomeTruist Field in Asheville, N.C., where the team hopes to translate its regular-season momentum into postseason success.
