Softball Success on the Road
The softball squad opened the scoring early and never looked back, posting an 11‑1 win over Columbus. The offense was anchored by a collective eight hits, with Isabelle Vigneron, Emma Parizek and Lyla Genkinger each contributing two knocks.
Supporting the hit parade were Clara Miller and Ella Mize, who added single hits, while Genkinger also delivered a strong pitching outing, striking out three batters over two innings before handing the circle to Mize, who closed the game with three shutout innings.
Baseball Rally in Winfield
The baseball team faced Winfield‑Mt. Union in a tightly contested matchup that began with a 2‑2 tie after three innings.
A burst of four runs in the fifth inning shifted momentum, and the Hillcrest bats kept the pressure on, adding two more runs in the sixth and seventh frames to seal an 11‑2 triumph.
Rowan Miller came within a single hit of the cycle, while Rylan Good drove in six runs and paired with Calvin Meller for multiple hits. On the mound, Lawson Shrock delivered a flawless no‑hitter, fanning five opponents throughout the game.
