The Hillsdale College men's basketball program has once again distinguished itself, not only for its play on the court but for its commitment to academic excellence. During the 2025‑26 season the Chargers captured their eighth straight National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Award, posting a program‑record cumulative GPA of 3.77.
Eight Consecutive NABC Team Academic Awards
That achievement placed Hillsdale among just seven Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G‑MAC) institutions honored, and only two — Hillsdale and Findlay — have sustained the streak for five years or more. The award underscores a culture where scholarly performance is treated as a core component of the student‑athlete experience.
Nine Chargers Earn NABC Honors Court Accolades
The NABC also recognized nine Chargers with placement on the Honors Court, a distinction that highlights both athletic performance and scholarly achievement. Cole McWhinnie led the group with his third consecutive selection, while Garrett Bolte, Ashton Janowski, Jacob Meyer and CJ Yarian each earned their second Honors Court nod. Fresh faces Caleb Glaser, Connor Stonebraker, Michael App and Mikey McCollum joined the roster of honorees for the first time.
