Archbishop Hoban High School is gearing up for the 2026 football season under the guidance of Coach Tim Tyrrell, who enters his fourteenth year at the helm with a career record of 216-78.
The team finished the previous campaign at 10-2 and earned a spot in the Division II, Region 5 postseason, a testament to the program’s consistency.
Coach Tyrrell emphasizes the strength of both the offensive and defensive lines, noting that the returning senior class brings a wealth of experience to the field.
Key contributors include Jaiden Daniels, a three-year starter at cornerback and a Ball State recruit, and John Johnson, a leading wide receiver and defensive back who will attend Bowling Green.
Devanaire Riley, a returning defensive lineman, is slated to see more time at defensive end, while Rylee Pickering returns at center and Caleb Williams rejoins the lineup at tackle.
Israel "Major" Cribbs, son of former NFL standout Joshua Cribbs, is projected to start at quarterback after recovering from last season’s injury, bringing both athleticism and a deep understanding of the game.
The roster also welcomes several high-profile transfers, among them senior offensive lineman Julian Jenkins, junior quarterback-linebacker George Camuso, and sophomore running back Keontae Hollis Jr.
Hoban’s schedule features matchups against programs from Florida, New York, North Carolina, Indiana and other states, underscoring the team’s ambitious non-conference slate.
