A Milestone for Hofstra Athletics
On August 25, Hofstra University’s men’s basketball program will unveil CHASING MARCH, a documentary that captures the excitement of its historic 2025‑26 campaign. The premiere will take place in the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, offering an exclusive look at the team’s journey from the first tip‑off to the final buzzer of the NCAA Tournament.
The film weaves together locker‑room moments, practice drills, travel footage and game highlights, providing viewers with an intimate portrait of a season that culminated in a Coastal Athletic Association championship and a berth in the national tournament. Interviews with coaching staff, players and alumni add depth to the narrative, while never‑before‑seen behind‑the‑scenes material immerses the audience in the daily rhythm of a Division I program.
Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. took the opportunity to thank the season ticket holders and Pride Club members whose financial and emotional support made the run possible. "Your unwavering commitment has been the backbone of this achievement," Cole said, standing alongside Head Coach Speedy Claxton and student‑athlete Joshua DeCady, who will address the crowd before the screening.
The evening will begin with light refreshments, giveaways and photo opportunities, creating a festive atmosphere before the program officially starts at 6:30 p.m. While the premiere is limited to season ticket holders and Pride Club members, Hofstra has indicated that a public release of CHASING MARCH will be announced in the coming weeks, allowing the broader community to share in the celebration.
