Leadership Council Chosen for 2026
Holy Cross has named its 2026 football captains, a quartet of seniors who will steer the program through a pivotal year. The selections reflect a blend of on‑field excellence and off‑field character, as the coaching staff emphasized the importance of leadership that extends beyond statistics.
Cam Nolan, an offensive lineman in his fifth year, brings a track record of accolades that includes Preseason All‑Patriot League honors, All‑America recognition and the Davitt Award as the top offensive player in 2025. His consistent performance earned him a spot on the All‑New England team and a semifinalist nod for the William V. Campbell Trophy.
Carlo Crocetti, a senior edge rusher, has appeared in 34 games for the Crusaders and led the squad with eight sacks during the previous season. His preseason placement on the Phil Steele All‑Patriot League list underscores his reputation as a disruptive force on defense.
Adam Due, a linebacker who contributed 47 total tackles in 2025, also earned a place on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. His impact on special teams and defensive schemes made him a key figure in the 2025 unit that helped shape the team's identity.
Chisom Onwuzurigbo, a defensive back with 31 tackles and four pass breakups last season, joins the captaincy group after 27 career appearances. His steady development has positioned him among the returning leaders on the defensive side of the ball.
The captains were chosen by a team‑voted leadership council that represented a cross‑section of position groups and class years. This process ensured that the selected players embody diverse perspectives while reinforcing a unified vision for the program.
Head coach Dan Curran expressed enthusiasm about the group, highlighting their collective ability to lead both on the field and within the broader campus community. "Their leadership qualities will be instrumental as we aim to build on the progress made in recent seasons," Curran said.
