A new exhibition titled ‘Home of Football: Home & Away’ has opened at High Line Nine in New York’s Chelsea Gallery District, inviting visitors to explore the cultural crossroads of soccer, art, design and fashion. The show is the brainchild of Paris‑based studio Crosby Studios, in collaboration with Home of Football and the historic airline Air Afrique.
A Narrative Woven in Six Chapters
The exhibition is organized into six chapters that examine the codes governing the beautiful game, from the geometry of a football to the aesthetics of kit design. Its spatial layout mimics a pitch, employing a mint‑green palette and circular motifs that echo the sport’s iconic ball.
Rare artifacts anchor the narrative, including Pelé’s 1958 World Cup jersey and memorabilia from Ronaldo’s 2002 triumph. These items are presented alongside contemporary design objects that illustrate the intersection of sport and style.
Retail and Refreshment in the Heart of Manhattan
A dedicated retail area, The Crosby Shop, showcases a curated selection of luxury and contemporary brands — including Baccarat, Nothing, Rizzoli, Obayaty and La Terra Di Neena. Adjacent, a pop‑up café called Balira Coffee, run by former Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, offers a taste of the game’s global fan culture.
The exhibition will remain on view until 19 July 2026, providing a limited‑time window for fans and design enthusiasts to experience this interdisciplinary celebration in the heart of Manhattan.
