Hot Springs Baseball Weekend has grown into a three‑day celebration for its ninth edition, turning the city’s long‑standing connection to Major League Baseball spring training into a weekend of fanfare.
Organizers have added an extra day to accommodate a larger baseball card show, a free screening of the documentary "The Battered Bastards of Baseball," and a series of panels that bring together some of the sport’s most iconic figures.
Legends and Panels Take Center Stage
The event will feature six Major League Baseball legends, including Hall of Famers Fred McGriff and Jack Morris, alongside Dave "Smoke" Stewart, Dale Murphy, Bill "Spaceman" Lee and Al Hrabosky, who will join in discussions and autograph sessions.
A meeting of the Society for American Baseball Research will also be held, where author Frank Amoroso will present his latest work, adding a scholarly dimension to the weekend.
The first 200 attendees at the documentary screening will receive a complimentary Baseball Weekend poster, underscoring the community‑focused spirit of the gathering.
Beyond the screenings and panels, the schedule promises a continuing baseball card show on Sunday, giving collectors ample opportunity to browse and trade, while fans can engage directly with the legends and creators.
