The University of Houston announced its full slate of conference matchups for the upcoming 2026‑27 men’s basketball season, a schedule that promises a blend of marquee home contests and challenging road trips.
Among the highlights is a historic home game against Kansas, the first time the Cougars will host the Jayhawks at Fertitta Center since entering the Big 12 in 2023, a matchup that pits Houston against the defending champions.
The home slate also features contests against Iowa State, BYU, Oklahoma State, TCU and Utah, while the road‑only opponents include Cincinnati, Arizona State, Baylor, UCF, Kansas State and West Virginia.
The season will open on November 2 with a non‑conference game against La Salle at the Cougars’ home arena, setting the stage for a campaign that builds on a 30‑win campaign and a Sweet 16 run the previous year.
Conference play will begin later in the month, with dates and times to be released in the coming weeks.
