Hudson Polk, a 25‑year‑old former Arkansas baseball standout, has accepted an assistant coaching position at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. In his new role he will serve as the program’s hitting coach and recruiting coordinator, guiding the Blue Dragons’ offensive strategy and helping shape the next wave of talent.
Polk’s journey to this moment began in Fayetteville, where he wore a Razorbacks uniform from 2023 through 2024. Though his collegiate statistics were modest — three home runs and 12 runs batted in — his work ethic and analytical mind caught the eye of Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn, who publicly predicted that Polk would transition into coaching.
From Player to Coach
During his final season with Arkansas, Polk also served as a student assistant coach and offensive analyst, duties that gave him a front‑row seat to the team’s strategic planning.
