Hudson West, a sophomore quarterback from Sarasota, Florida, has quickly become one of the most talked‑about prospects in the 2028 recruiting class.
During his sophomore season he amassed 2,836 passing yards and 26 touchdowns, while also showcasing his dual‑threat ability with 121 rushing yards on 13 carries.
Recruiting interest
The Florida State Seminoles are among the schools courting West, joining a list that also includes the University of Florida, North Carolina and Georgia Tech. Each program sees in him a potential cornerstone for future offensive schemes.
Although West is not currently ranked by 247Sports, Rivals places him at No. 794 overall and No. 93 among quarterbacks, labeling him a three‑star recruit.
The competition for his commitment includes several programs, each evaluating his blend of arm strength, mobility and football IQ.
West has said he is weighing all options and plans to take official visits before making a final decision, but the Seminoles’ early interest gives them a foothold in the race.
