Hutchinson CC Women’s Soccer Reschedules Home Opener Amid Conflicts

Friday night showdown with the Jets kicks off the 2026 season, followed by a top‑ranked Iowa Western clash in September

A Revised Opening Weekend

The Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer squad has reshuffled its early‑season schedule after a clash with North Idaho College forced a change in plans.

The Blue Dragons will now open their 2026 home campaign on Friday evening, with a 7 p.m. kickoff against the Jets at the Salthawk Soccer Complex. The match is free to attend and will be carried live on the Blue Dragon Sports Network.

Originally, the team was slated to host NOC‑Enid on Friday, travel to North Idaho College on Saturday and welcome the Cardinals on Sunday, but the Cardinals could not meet the new dates, leaving only the Jets as the Friday opponent.

The next home fixture arrives on September 4, when the Blue Dragons host the fifth‑ranked Iowa Western at 6 p.m. The game will also take place at the Salthawk Soccer Complex and will be streamed on the same network.

Both contests promise competitive soccer and are part of a season that emphasizes community engagement and accessible viewing for fans across the region.
