Held at the Sector 10 skating rink, the gathering united coaches, broadcasters and equipment partners to accelerate the growth of roller, ball and ice hockey across India.
International Collaboration Fuels Local Development
Organisers highlighted a series of hands‑on clinics and exhibitions that blended skill‑building with cultural exchange. The Try Ball Hockey Activation gave newcomers a taste of the fast‑paced sport, while a coaches’ summit offered deep dives into tactical development and player progression.
A standout feature was the elite roller hockey clinic led by Harry Mahesh, assistant coach of the Abbotsford Canucks, whose expertise helped refine techniques for dozens of young athletes. Randip Janda, a well‑known NHL broadcaster, co‑organized the event and kept participants engaged with on‑ice commentary and Q&A sessions.
The festival also showcased a 3×3 exhibition that pitted local talent against a mixed‑national squad, underscoring the competitive potential of Indian players when matched with seasoned professionals. Throughout the weekend, the presence of major partners such as the National Hockey League, the Ice Hockey Association of India, the Vancouver Canucks and Bauer Hockey signalled a coordinated effort to embed sustainable hockey pathways in the country.
