Jesse Minter, a Yorktown High School graduate, has been named the team’s new head coach, succeeding John Harbaugh, while Eddie Faulkner, a Muncie Central alumnus, will serve as the Ravens’ running backs coach. Both appointments were confirmed in recent roster moves that underscore the franchise’s focus on continuity and regional talent.
Minter’s ascent follows a playing career that saw him excel at Yorktown before moving on to college football, and his coaching journey has been marked by strategic leadership roles that earned him the confidence of team management. Faulkner, after stints at Anderson University and Ball State, climbed the NFL ladder with the Pittsburgh Steelers before earning a promotion to Baltimore.
The two coaches have known each other since childhood, with Minter often recalling Faulkner’s legendary high school performances. Their paths converged again through a mutual connection in the league, where Ravens’ leadership sought Faulkner’s expertise, a recommendation that came after former Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin voiced his endorsement.
