Indiana University’s men’s basketball program has added a preseason contest against Western Kentucky to its 2026‑27 schedule, set for Oct. 25 at the Ford Center in Evansville. The 11,000‑seat venue will host the exhibition, offering an early look at the Hoosiers’ revamped roster.
The team is also slated to face North Carolina on Oct. 18 in downtown Indianapolis, marking another neutral‑site test that will gauge the squad’s readiness before conference play.
International exposure
Later in the summer, Indiana will travel to Peru to compete in the FISU America Games from July 20 to Aug. 1, while the regular season schedule also includes neutral‑site games against Kentucky and Syracuse.
These exhibition matchups do more than fill the calendar; they give coaches a chance to experiment with lineups and give fans a preview of the new‑look team. The Peru leg, in particular, is expected to broaden the program’s international profile and generate additional excitement heading into the upcoming season.
