A New Chapter for Indiana Basketball
Indiana University’s men’s basketball program is set to make its first appearance at Madison Square Garden in New York City this November, where it will meet the Arkansas Razorbacks on Nov. 17. The game is the third official contest on the Hoosiers’ non‑conference schedule and will be streamed live to a national audience.
The schedule also features a homecoming double‑header in Indianapolis, with matchups against Syracuse on Nov. 9 and Kentucky on Nov. 20. Arkansas and Indiana have met five times historically, with the Razorbacks holding a 3‑2 edge, the most recent victory coming in December 2019 at Assembly Hall.
A New Era Under Darian DeVries
DeVries, who took over the program in 2024, brings a fresh philosophy and a recruiting pedigree that he hopes will translate into consistent postseason play. The upcoming games against Arkansas, Syracuse and Kentucky will serve as early indicators of how quickly the new system can gel.
Coach John Calipari, now leading Arkansas, will be making his first appearance against Indiana since 2016, adding a narrative storyline that fans will follow closely.
