The Indiana Hoosiers are gearing up for a historic overseas campaign as they prepare to compete in the International University Sports Federation America Games in Lima, Peru, running from July 20 through August 1.
Special USA‑themed jerseys make their debut
The squad will wear specially designed USA‑themed jerseys that blend the classic Hoosier bold typeface with the university’s iconic logo. Two colourways will be used: a crisp white base with blue lettering and red numerals, and a contrasting blue base with white text and red numbers, each emblazoned with the IU emblem.
Before departing for South America, the Hoosiers are slated to host Collège Jean‑de‑Brébeuf of Canada in an open‑to‑the‑public exhibition match at Assembly Hall on July 15, with tip‑off scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
A team‑building trek across continents
The upcoming tour is being billed as more than a warm‑up; coaches and players alike view the trans‑Atlantic journey as a crucial bonding experience ahead of the 2026‑27 season. The team will enter a competitive pool that includes Argentina, Brazil and host nation Peru, making the early games a true test of readiness.
The International University Sports Federation, which organised the event, continues to champion the global reach of university athletics, seeking to provide emerging talent with a platform that extends far beyond national borders.
With the exhibition game looming and the Lima schedule fast approaching, the Hoosiers are focused on fine‑tuning chemistry and building momentum. The experience is expected to shape a cohesive unit ready to tackle the challenges of the upcoming collegiate season.
