Indiana University’s baseball program is gearing up for the upcoming season after welcoming a wave of new talent that includes 24 newcomers — 14 prep players and 10 transfer athletes.
Fall Practice Begins
The Hoosiers will stage four exhibition games, the centerpiece of which is a matchup against Kentucky on October 16, before the holiday season officially kicks in.
Among the newcomers, three position players crack the top 500 of Perfect Game’s National Rankings, underscoring the program’s recruiting momentum and the high expectations placed on the fresh roster.
Jayden Parker, a first‑year infielder, earned a spot on Prep Baseball’s Top 150 list, while Kelvyn Paulino Jr. was named a 2025 Second Team Midseason Freshman All‑American after his standout performance at Florida State.
The transfer pool adds depth and experience, featuring left‑hander Ethan Lyke, who recorded 119 strikeouts in his collegiate career, and right‑hander Peter Dubie, an Indianapolis native returning to his alma mater.
Additional contributors include Luke Teschke, who was recognized as MVC Newcomer of the Week in 2026, providing versatility across the infield.
Coaches say the blend of fresh arms, high‑ranked position players, and seasoned transfers positions the team to compete strongly when the regular season opens, promising an exciting year for the Hoosiers faithful.
