Indiana Women’s Basketball Unveils 2026‑27 Non‑Conference Schedule

A revamped roster and a demanding slate aim to return the Hoosiers to the NCAA Tournament

A New Chapter for the Hoosiers

Indiana University’s women’s basketball program unveiled its 2026‑27 non‑conference schedule on Tuesday, a 13‑game slate that stretches well beyond the Big Ten. Eleven of those contests will be played on the familiar hardwood of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, giving the Hoosiers a chance to rally their home crowd early in the season.

The season will open on November 3 against Florida Gulf Coast University, a rematch of a 2025 victory that ended 82‑64 in Indiana’s favor. Senior guard Shay Ciezki poured in 26 points that night, while freshman Lenée Beaumont added 23, setting a tone of optimism for the upcoming campaign.

The schedule also features a gauntlet of opponents, including Florida State, Southern Illinois, Bradley, Samford, Wisconsin‑Milwaukee, Coastal Carolina, Southern Indiana, Mississippi State and Georgia Tech. The team will travel to the Elevance Health Fort Myers Tipoff series, where games will be staged at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena and at Florida SouthWestern State College’s campus in Fort Myers.

Indiana’s 2025‑26 season concluded with an 18‑14 record and a 6‑12 mark in conference play, marking the first time since 2017‑18 that the program missed the NCAA Tournament. The departure of two graduating seniors and the transfer of six players forced head coach Teri Moren to rebuild, prompting the addition of five transfer athletes and five incoming freshmen to shore up the roster.

Moren, now in her 15th year at the helm, emphasized the importance of chemistry as the new pieces integrate with returning veterans. ‘We have a mix of experience and youthful energy,’ she said, ‘and the schedule gives us the chance to test ourselves early and often.’
