The Hoosiers controlled possession and generated 17 attempts on goal, while Bellarmine failed to find the net for the first 89 minutes. Indiana struck first when Piper Coffield converted a penalty in the 45th minute, putting the team ahead 1‑0.
A Late Blow
In the dying seconds of regulation, Bellarmine earned a penalty that Ella Flynn dispatched to level the score at 1‑1. The goal denied Indiana a clean sheet and also prevented the Hoosiers from extending a three‑match winning streak.
Coach Josh Rife praised the defensive effort that had kept Bellarmine at bay for most of the game, yet he was candid about the need for improvement. “One mistake cost us two points,” he said, emphasizing that the defensive lapses must be ironed out before the next away fixture.
