A Quiet Rebuilding
When Dusty May stepped down from the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball bench, the immediate question on everyone’s mind was why. Yet the program’s leadership quickly pivoted from speculation to action, focusing on keeping the current roster intact and reassuring the players that their futures remained secure.
Athletic director Warde Manuel convened a series of private meetings with the coaching staff and student‑athletes, stressing continuity and confidence. Coach Mike Boynton, who had worked closely with many of the players, echoed that sentiment, promising that the team would move forward without disruption.
At the same time, a small group of insiders began assembling a new resource: the 3R Report. The name, a shorthand for “real, verified, reliable,” reflects the group’s commitment to delivering only authenticated information about the program’s status, free of rumor or speculation.
The first installment of the 3R Report will not be a sweeping exposé; rather, it will offer concise updates from sources who have direct knowledge of the program’s inner workings. By highlighting genuine connections and transparent communication, the report aims to reinforce trust among fans, players, and staff.
Akeem Miskdeen, who has been tracking the transition from within the athletic department, notes that the initiative’s strength lies in its humility. ‘We’re not trying to make headlines,’ he says, ‘we’re just making sure the facts are out there when they matter.’
The early response from the player base has been encouraging. Many have taken to social media to thank the administration for prioritizing their well‑being over external narratives, signaling that the trust‑building effort is already bearing fruit.
