International Field Set for Opening Weekend
The 2026 Senior League Baseball World Series will open this weekend in Easley, South Carolina, where twelve teams from around the globe will gather at the JB Red Owens Sports Complex.
Representing the Upstate, the South Carolina D1 Region squad is a composite of young talent drawn from a variety of high schools and middle schools across the region, featuring players such as Angel Vargas, Bradley Runion, Devin Hutto and a dozen more.
Their first contest pits them against the Southwest Region champions at 7:30 p.m., a match that will be streamed live on ESPN, giving viewers nationwide a front‑row seat to the action.
Beyond the opening game, the tournament will showcase a series of high‑stakes encounters, each broadcast on ESPN, allowing fans to follow the progress of the Upstate athletes as they test themselves against international competition.
With the eyes of the baseball community on them, the South Carolina contingent hopes to make a deep run, and the excitement is palpable as the first pitches are about to be thrown.
