The Iona Prep football program is gearing up for a season that could rewrite its recent chapter of success. With nine defensive starters returning and four offensive standouts, the Gaels are poised to blend experience with fresh talent.
At the heart of the defense are Mamadee Sangaray, Josh Simmons and Dilen Mulaj, who are expected to anchor the line. Their presence gives the coaching staff confidence that the unit can be physically dominant and create ample turnover opportunities.
Quarterback Jaydin Jackson, who saw meaningful snaps last year, is competing for a starting role amid a deep pool of running backs and receivers. The offensive scheme has been tweaked to maximize his skill set while integrating new playmakers.
