The University of Iowa and the Big Ten Conference have unveiled the 2027 conference baseball schedule, setting the stage for another competitive season for the Hawkeyes.
Iowa will open its home slate at Duane Banks Field against USC, Penn State, Nebraska, Northwestern and Rutgers, promising a series of high‑stakes matchups on the familiar turf of Iowa City.
The Hawkeyes will also hit the road, traveling to face UCLA, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio State and Michigan in a rotation that tests their depth against some of the conference’s traditional powerhouses.
While the complete calendar, including non‑conference dates and additional opponents, will be released later this summer, the announced conference slate already gives fans a clear picture of the competitive landscape.
The announcement comes on the heels of a strong 2026 campaign in which Iowa posted a 33‑23 record and secured its 11th straight appearance in the Big Ten Tournament, underscoring the program’s consistency.
Head coach Rick Heller, now in his third decade at the helm, praised the schedule as a balanced mix of home‑field advantage and challenging away games, noting that the team is poised to build on recent momentum.
Looking Ahead
Fans can expect the full schedule to be posted on the official Iowa athletics website and the Big Ten’s portal in the coming weeks, where ticket information and broadcast details will be announced.
