The University of Iowa has officially extended a scholarship to Logan Chwastyk, a 6‑foot‑10 five‑star center in the Class of 2028, cementing the Hawkeyes’ interest in one of the nation’s most coveted prospects.
A Recruiting Milestone
Assistant coach Josh Sash first engaged Chwastyk during last month’s Junior Contact Day, laying the groundwork for a relationship that culminated in a phone call last week where the scholarship was formally offered.
Chwastyk, currently ranked No. 13 overall and No. 7 among centers by 247Sports, highlighted his connection to Iowa while attending Malvern Prep, where he continues to develop his skill set.
The offer reflects a strategic push by the Hawkeyes to strengthen their frontcourt, aiming to secure top talent early and maintain a competitive edge in the Big Ten conference.
