A Fall Schedule Steeped in Tradition
The University of Iowa baseball program, known as the Hawkeyes, has announced its 2026 fall schedule, a compact four‑game slate that will take fans from the heart of Iowa to the Show‑Me State and back again.
The opening contest arrives on Friday, September 18, when the Hawkeyes host Madison College at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a 5 p.m. Central Time tip‑off.
A week later, on Saturday, September 26, Iowa travels to Columbia, Missouri, to meet the Missouri Tigers in a 1 p.m. showdown on the road.
The third meeting returns home on Friday, October 2, as the Hawkeyes welcome Kirkwood Community College to Veterans Memorial Stadium for a 4 p.m. contest.
The season finale is set for Saturday, October 10, at the iconic Field of Dreams Ballpark in Dyersville, Iowa, where the Hawkeyes will face Kansas at 1 p.m.; tickets for that game have already sold out.
Rick Heller, the team’s head coach, said the schedule reflects a deliberate blend of regional rivals and historic venues, promising competitive matchups for the Hawkeye faithful.
While tickets for the Cedar Rapids games remain on sale, demand for the Dyersville finale underscores the enduring appeal of the Field of Dreams as a must‑see destination for college baseball enthusiasts.
