On October 3, the University of Iowa will open its doors to Jalen Davis, a five-star guard who currently sits at No. 16 in the national rankings and holds the top spot among prospects from Washington. The visit marks a key step in the Hawkeyes’ effort to add a high-impact backcourt player to next season’s roster.
Davis arrives with a strong résumé: he averaged 24.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game during the Adidas 3SSB circuit, a performance that helped him climb to a five-star rating in the 247Sports composite. His skill set aligns with the Hawkeyes’ recent emphasis on versatile guards who can create offense and defend multiple positions.
A Recruiting Tour Across the West Coast
The trip is part of a broader recruiting swing that will also take Davis to UCLA on October 16 and Gonzaga on November 7. Earlier in September he is slated to tour Stanford and Ole Miss, giving him a comprehensive view of several elite programs before he narrows his list.
