The 2026 Iowa high school baseball postseason is already underway, as districts and substate tournaments across the four classifications battle for a spot in the state championship.
Eight teams from each class will advance to the final stage, where the culmination of the season will take place between July 20 and 24. While Classes 1A and 2A will convene in Carroll, the tournament’s other half will be held in Cedar Rapids for Classes 3A and 4A.
Brackets by Class
In the 1A bracket, traditional powerhouses such as Ramsen St. Mary's, MMCRU, Logan‑Magnolia and Woodbrine are among the contenders, while the 2A field features West Lyon, Okoboji, Hinton and Western Christian, each looking to add their names to the state ledger.
Class 3A brings together teams like MOC‑Floyd Valley, Le Mars, Spencer and Sioux Center, whereas the 4A draw includes Sioux City East, Sioux City West, Lewis Central and Council Bluffs Jefferson, promising high‑stakes matchups.
State Tournament Venues
The championship schedule places the 1A and 2A finals in Carroll, while the 3A and 4A finals will be staged in Cedar Rapids, giving each class a distinct home‑field atmosphere as the state titles are decided.
With eight qualifiers per class, the road to the podium is competitive, and the upcoming July dates promise a showcase of talent that will be followed by fans across the Midwest.
