Iowa High School Baseball State Tournament Set for July 20‑24
The 2025 Iowa high school baseball state tournament will run from July 20 through July 24, culminating in championship games on Friday, July 24. All four classes — 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A — will compete for the coveted titles.
Class 1A and 2A teams will battle it out at Merchants Park in Carroll, while the 3A and 4A brackets will be contested at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids. The venues were chosen to accommodate the size of the fields and the expected crowds.
Qualification play began on Tuesday, July 21, with Class 4A quarterfinal games taking place at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The following day, Wednesday, July 22, saw Class 3A quarterfinal matchups at the same venue. On Monday, July 20, the 1A and 2A quarterfinal rounds opened at Merchants Park in Carroll.
Semifinal action will unfold later in the week. Class 4A semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at Veterans Memorial Stadium, and Class 2A semifinals will be held at Merchants Park the same evening. Class 3A semifinals follow on Wednesday, July 22, also at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The championship round caps off the tournament on Friday, July 24. Class 4A will crown its champion at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, while Class 3A, 2A and 1A will each hold their title games at Merchants Park in Carroll. The schedule promises a full slate of high‑stakes baseball across the state.
